Vivian Wenhuey Chen Chen was born in Taipei, Taiwan and attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Throughout the year 2001, Chen has concentrated on near abstract works of art utilizing a plethora of mixed media. The subject matter provides a way for the viewer to enter the concepts created by the artist. A hint of text or images from the real world allows the viewer to recognize that artists focus and enter the picture to explore its brilliant emotional impact through color and texture. Being that these artworks are created with traditional and nontraditional materials layered on top of each other, there is a lot of depth to the surface. The layers and depth to the artwork portray the way in which our world can be interpreted in a multiplicity of perspectives. All artwork is framed in a single welded Brushed Steel Frame with an 1/8 inch face and approximately 3" deep. |
